New greenfield Advanced Water Recycling Centre and associated infrastructure which will provide wastewater services and recycled water for the Aerotropolis, Western Sydney Airport and Southwest Growth Areas.

The project will include the Design, Construction and 10yr Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant and an Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will produce:

- High-quality treated water suitable for recycling & environmental flows to an ultimate capacity of 70ML/d
- Biosolids suitable for beneficial reuse
- A new 25km pipeline from the AWRC to Sydney Water’s existing wastewater system to discharge brine.
- A new 16km pipeline from the AWRC to the Nepean River, to release excess treated water.
- This project will be one of the most technologically advanced wastewater treatment plants in the Southern Hemisphere.

**About the Role**

Area Manager - Pipelines for the Upper South Creek Project. You will have responsibility to lead a team of Engineers, control and coordinate all site-based pipeline infrastructure activities across the Advanced Water Recycling Treatment Plant.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Authorise construction planning, programming and completion schedules.
- Monitor progress, ensuring that work quality and techniques are of a high standard and report regularly on project performance, and cost against company objectives.
- Authorise engagement of subcontractors, management of subcontractor work to achieve outcomes.
- Stakeholder management: Ensure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintained
- People management: Establish and develop a high performing team to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets
- Financial management: Ensure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with JH’s authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the project

**To be successful in this key role, you must have**:

- Degree qualified Civil Engineer, Construction Management or similar
- Previous local experience within a Tier One contractor for a minimum of 2 years.
- Previous experience in the delivery of D&C pipeline projects and managing pipeline installation contractors in urban environment using both open trench and trenchless construction.
- Delivery of infrastructure projects, with exposure to Community Stakeholder Engagement, Traffic Management, Environmental & Heritage Controls and Schedule Management.
- Passion for teamwork and delivering on tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation.
- Understanding of HSEQ management systems, compliance, and reporting procedures
