**About the Role**

Alya Access Hire is seeking a tilt tray driver with a positive attitude for the transportation of large equipment across Melbourne. This role will be based out of our Thomastown depot.

Key duties for this role include:

- Driving a Tilt Tray
- Loading hire equipment onto / off in accordance with the run sheet.
- Checking the equipment is secure and adequately ‘handed over’ to the customer or Alya Access team member before leaving.
- Identifying and reporting damage on vehicles and hire equipment.
- Completing job logs/run sheets with accuracy.
- Maintaining fatigue management logs as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the National Heavy Vehicle laws.
- Completing safety checks such as pre-start vehicle checks, driver logs, and any other requirements.
- Communicating well with customers and members of the public.
- Driving between numerous worksites each day
- Safely load and unload of large machinery and equipment

**Selection Criteria**
- Current Australian HR Drivers Licence (essential)
- White Card (essential)
- Good customer service skills
- Clean driving history and superior driving skills.
- Physical capability to meet the requirements of the role (fitness and functional strength).
- Experience in a similar role.
- Forklift license.
- Strong knowledge of the greater Melbourne area.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a positive team.
- Strong knowledge of plant and machines
- Flexibility to work across a range of hours and days

**Salary**
- Competitive hourly rate and opportunity for overtime
