This Federal Government Branch has a focus on contemporary client-centric service design and continuous improvement. This includes an emphasis on the foundational capabilities to deliver a range of operational capabilities such as the implementation and promotion of policy and doctrine, a quality management framework, and an election readiness framework.
The team within the Branch manages all facets of enrolment, including enrolment capability development and coordination for other operational elements delivered through our state and divisional offices
**Your new role**
The Department is seeking a highly motivated Project Officer to join the team and contribute to the successful execution of our diverse projects. If you're adept at coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and fostering effective communication, this will be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organising, and executing projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Monitor project timelines, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively implement solutions.
- Maintain clear and concise project documentation, including progress reports and status updates.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by analysing project outcomes and suggesting process enhancements.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful, you will need proven experience (2 years) in project officer or coordination in the APS and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Key Qualification will include:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in project officer software and tools.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Also, you must be an Australian Citizen and have relevant experience in Government Department and / or in a similar position. You must also be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2).
