**Project Overview**:

Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.
**Job Summary**:
As the Document Control Manager you will report to the Head of Project Controls and you will be the primary interface between project stakeholders, contractors and third parties ensuring accuracy, compliance and quality across all controlled documentation via Aconex.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Manages the project document, records & information management (DRIM) team across projects
- Manages the document and records management team to include analysis, recommend, map and implement document and/or records management work processes and data flows through full turnover.
- Works with project team, functional teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure procedures and work processes are delivering the level of information required.
- Leads training, implementation, assessments and improvements
- Develops metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes
- Prepares monthly progress reports for functional management
- Establishes procedures and work instructions for document development, distribution and retention
- Frequently interacts and partners with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, units, and the company.
- Champion for other information management tools such as Aconex, Outlook, etc.
- Ownership of the electronic document management system.
- Support quality assurance audits, internal technical reviews, client reviews, and audits.
- Process a high volume of systems implementation, construction, supplier, and commercial documentation.
- Prepare routine documents and reports using standard word processing, spreadsheets, Power BI or other office software as needed to support work activities.
**Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Must have a minimum of 10 years project-based experience performing document/records management with a full understanding on the configuration of the ECMS, work processes, and coordination of project workflows with other entities.
- Experience must have been obtained within the past 12 years.
- Must have at least 5 years of recent experience managing and training a document control team.
**Required Knowledge and Skills**:
- Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups. Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Demonstrated experience in document control leadership on large, complex projects.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proper use of syntax.
