
Executive Officer to The Mayor

**Status**:Maximum fixed-term for 3 years - 35 hours per week
**Salary**:$126,868 - $145,898 pa + 11.5% superannuation

As the Executive Officer, you will be responsible for creating opportunities for the Mayor to promote the work of Council and to build constructive partnerships between the Mayor, General Manager, Councillors, internal departments, and the local community. Your leadership, management and engagement capabilities will be used as you inspire community cohesion and enhance the confidence and trust our community stakeholders have for the Mayor and Council.

**Things you will do**:
- Provide executive support to the Mayor to develop constructive relationships, resolve issues, and provide critical thinking and objective advice.
- Enhance the leadership brand and increase stakeholder support for the Mayor and Council.
- Provide technical and research support including the production of documents and reports, delivery of special projects, and strategic issue identification and management.
- Build constructive partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a comprehensive induction program for the Mayor.
- Effectively manage competing priorities with a high level of discretion.
