**The Role**
The EL 1 Systems Manager leads the Systems team within the College, this multidiscipline team includes cyber security specialists, system developers and administrators and is anticipated to grow as the College matures.
You will exercise a considerable degree of independence, being accountable to plan, lead and manage people and resources, as well as manage contracts and key stakeholder relationships to achieve required outcomes. The team is responsible for the operation, integration and management of systems and equipment to deliver a seamless user experience to training developers, instructors, students and administrators as well as wider learning enterprise stakeholders.
These systems and equipment include:
- Cyber Ranges;
- Learning Management Systems;
- Intranet and student portals;
- Cyber Operations Tactical Mission training equipment;
- Commercial online cyber training subscription services;
- Basic IT and networking equipment including associated software;
- Training and learner statistics.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. The College is looking for a team member with extensive experience in leading people to achieve outcomes in complex ICT environments, and who is excited about delivering technologies in support of a rapidly developing training capability, critical to national security. Cyber security operations knowledge, and experience working with cyber ranges and/or learning management systems would be highly desirable.
