The role involves leading Year Level Australian Curriculum (AC) planning and implementation in classrooms across different learning areas. This includes a focus on the moderation process to drive precision in the teaching of English. The Head of Department (Curriculum) will also be responsible for coaching teachers and teacher aides in the implementation of the school's pedagogical approaches. The Head of Department (Curriculum) will use individual student, class, year level and whole school data to develop and implement programs to support student learning improvement and to track what teachers need to teach and what students need to learn. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading weekly year level meetings as well as being an active member of the Leadership Strategic Team.

**Your role**: As the Head of Department (Curriculum) you will have responsibility for the following: - Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies and community groups. Be futures orientated and strategic. Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department. Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the curriculum areas or whole school programs to achieve goals.
