If you are interested in shaping long-term circular economy outcomes for Victoria by partnering with other state government departments and agencies, local governments, waste and resource recovery and manufacturing sectors. Be part of the team rolling out Victoria's new four-bin household waste and recycling system.

Support the Circular Economy Programs, Sector Transformation team to provide market insight and advice. Support a wide range of projects, including written briefs and correspondence, research into the long-term circular economy issues facing Victoria, and development of guidance for waste and recycling arrangements in buildings.

The Policy Advisor will support the development of high quality, proactive policy advice to drive climate action and build Victoria's circular economy. The Policy Advisor will work within the Circular Economy Programs team to provide expert, authoritative and timely policy advice to the Minister, the Department's executive and other government departments.

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- Experience in undertaking policy analysis and providing policy advice is desirable.
- Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders on policy issues is desirable.
- An understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable
- Experience with the waste and recycling, environment, land use planning or local government sectors is desirable.
- Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are desirable.

**This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 Months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.**
