**THE LITTLE KITCHEN** is a well-known family-run restaurant in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, located on Arden Street, just a short stroll from Coogee Beach. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and offers a mix of Australian charm and classic English features in a rustic wooden setting.

The restaurant aims to emphasise high-quality food and service in a relaxed, inviting setting. The frequently-changing menu offers a cross-cultural mix of dishes, all made fresh on-site using local and organic produce wherever possible.

**THE ROLE**

The Little Kitchen is looking for an Assistant Manager to help manage the front-of-house staff at the restaurant. In this role, you will be required to assist with the overall day-to-day management of the venue and leading the F&B team to ensure the service and experience provided to guests is above expectations at all times.

As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for:

- helping to lead & manage the restaurant staff;
- assisting with all service periods & supervising F&B workers;
- overseeing all day-to-day restaurant operations;
- developing service standards & processes to ensure guest satisfaction across all areas;
- implementing systems/policies/processes/procedures to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant;
- helping to recruit, train, develop & supervise all F&B workers;
- stock control & management, including purchasing & deliveries;
- overseeing the bookings/reservations systems;
- ensuring the restaurant is clean/presentable at all times & that the restaurant is compliant with all WHS regulations/requirements;
- assisting with financial management, budgeting & cost-control;
- rostering & allocation of tasks as required for each service period;
- ensuring all staff & aware of menu/food changes & assisting Chefs with menu/food requirements.

Full-Time Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

**ABOUT YOU**

To be eligible for the Assistant Manager position, you will need to demonstrate:

- Hospitality/Management training or qualifications (preferred);
- at least 3+ years experience as a venue/restaurant manager;
- experience in a similar-style venue;
- strong leadership & management skills;
- exceptional written & verbal communication skills;
- broad experience/knowledge of a range of food & beverage styles;
- good presentation;
- attention to detail;
- an approachable & friendly attitude with exceptional customer service skills;
- experience with venue booking/POS systems;
- flexibility to work across a 7-day week;
- a passion for the work & a commitment to achieving the best results for the job & customers.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
