**The Opportunity**

Pet Circle is in an accelerated growth phase and constantly evolving. Our Commercial Team acts as an internal consultancy providing company level recommendations, planning support and business analysis to the Executive Team.

As a Commercial & Planning Analyst you will work closely with our Commercial Manager and executive leadership team across all areas of the business to assist in optimising investment decisions and executing key strategic projects. You will be instrumental in executing the company operating plan and traditional financial analysis while also providing advice and decision support as part of the wider Commercial team. This opportunity will suit an Analyst who is keen to leverage their problem solving and analytical skills to cross functional projects within a supportive high growth environment.

At Pet Circle we also heavily invest in career growth, given the fast changing environment there are always opportunities for stretch projects, secondments and internal mobility so the commercial partnering aspect of this role will serve as the perfect platform to learn multiple areas of the business in parallel.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Executing the Annual Operating Plan process - partnering with functional heads eg. Marketing, supply chain, customer service and merchandising teams to drive specific project planning and execution
- Building of company and business unit budgets, forecasts and consolidating information into meaningful executive board reports
- Partner with executive leaders to provide decision support on business outcomes - using data and analytic skills/tools to advance business insights and opportunities.
- Build and maintain operational and company data visualisation dashboards and preparation of ongoing functional reporting
- Support the business with financial / operational modelling including scenario and sensitivity analysis to understand the key drivers impacting the business
- Provide value adding Commercial Advisory work - including using data and analytical tools to provide decision support to key business decision makers

**What Success Looks Like**:

- Being an excellent communicator - ability to diagnose the problem, clearly articulate the reasoning and recommendation in verbal and written format. Experience with structured communication frameworks such as SCQA highly regarded
- Working autonomously, exercising good judgement and being comfortable dealing with imperfect information/inputs
- Ability to structurally solve problems - breaking down new problems and proposing ways to approach the solution
- Working collaboratively with the executive leadership team and providing value adding advice

**Your Ideal Experience**:

- A self-starter, results orientated, decisive and resilient person with an ability to respond and adapt to an agile environment
- Experience in business partnering and working in a cross functional team environment
- Advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with Looker is highly regarded
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Able to synthesise unstructured data and explain to non technical stakeholders
- Experienced problem solver with a results driven approach

At Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of [2+ days] in our pet friendly offices and the remaining working from home.
