**The Opportunity**

The Maintenance Services Mechanical department requires an experienced Filling and Packaging Mechanical Technician (Fitter) to maintain automated filling and packaging machines at our world class manufacturing facilities at CSL Behring, Broadmeadows. The Maintenance Services Mechanical department delivers maintenance services at the CSL Behring Broadmeadows site. This includes providing support to manufacturing facilities for fractionation of human plasma into pharmaceutical products.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer you will possess experience conducting preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, corrective and breakdown maintenance on filling machines, packaging machines and supporting equipment.

**Role requirement includes**:

- Demonstrated experience and familiarity overhauling and maintaining automated filling machines and packaging machines. This includes supporting machine/line changeovers.
- Demonstrated proficiency in TIG stainless steel welding and Lathe and Milling machine work is ideal.
- Supporting manufacturing on a Night shift roster. Flexibility in working hours to meet business needs, including after hours.
- Working with Microsoft software packages and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Working to GMP principles and an appreciation of aseptic processes and techniques.
- Strong commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.

**To be successful**:

- Qualification: Certificate 3 Mechanical Engineering trade or Indentured Certificate as a Fitter & Turner.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of automated filling and packaging equipment and expertise in fault diagnosis and corrective action.
- Honest, well-mannered, highly motivated and enjoy utilising your initiative to solve complex mechanical related problems.
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical or food manufacturing would be an advantage.
- An ability to fulfil your duties with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience working within a regulated GMP environment, an understanding of aseptic techniques and work traceability standards is highly desirable.
