**Role Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced WHS Consultant to join the team on a short-term contract basis. The consultant will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive gap analysis and audit of the current safety management system, policies, procedures, and processes. The primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with safety regulations and laws, with a lens on broader child safety and relevant legislation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct a thorough gap analysis and audit of the current safety management system, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Take child safety regulations and laws into consideration throughout the analysis and audit process.
- Provide holistic solutions that address the unique needs of an early childhood education and care environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a WHS Consultant, ideally within the education sector or similar environments dealing with children.
- Strong understanding of WHS regulations and laws.
- Experience conducting gap analyses and audits of safety management systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
