Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

As the Business Advisor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support, coaching, and advisory services to women with caring responsibilities for a family member or friend NSW who are small business owners, or are seeking guidance to set up a small business, to review and support their business readiness, development, and sustainability.

The Business Advisor will be responsible for supporting women carers to build connections to professional networks, support services, and regional business networks, so they are equipped with the tools, confidence, and networks for business success.

This is a part time (4 days per week) contract position until June 2027.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Community Development, Social Work, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience and success in small business advising, mentoring, or coaching, particularly with women or underrepresented groups
- Understanding of issues faced by women carers, and the challenges and opportunities in small business environments
- Proven ability to build relationships and partnerships across sectors, including community, business, and government
- Strong facilitation skills in both individual and group settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver outcomes
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours in line with business requirements and travel within NSW and interstate if needed
- Current NSW driver’s licence

**Salary and Benefits**

The Salary is around $85K + super for the 4 day per week position. Additional benefits include salary sacrificing benefits, flexible work arrangements, a highly supportive team environment, excellent training and development opportunities and health and wellness programs.
