**About the facility**
Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is one of Victoria’s largest regional health services with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. Care is provided to the community through over 28 key locations throughout the region.
**About the role**
As the Spiritual Care Coordinator, you will lead a small team of Spiritual Care Practitioners and work alongside the Spiritual Care Coordinator at McKellar Centre. You will also provide spiritual care for patients, families, carers and staff at University Hospital Geelong as a component of whole-person care.
Duties of your role include:
- Identify and monitor the needs for Spiritual Care Services within University Hospital Geelong including handover and data management processes
- Regularly review and assess established service delivery in partnership with Coordinator Spiritual Care McKellar Centre
- Oversee the physical spaces of the UHG Spiritual Care offices, meeting room and Spirituality Centre and act upon site maintenance and safety needs
- Plan, implement and develop service delivery initiatives which strategically respond to needs and changes within the health service
