**About the Role**
Join the Centre for Indonesian Law, Islam and Society and contribute to the dynamic _Indonesia at Melbourne_ Blog. Showcase contemporary Indonesian insights and diverse voices within the University of Melbourne’s extensive Indonesian network. In this engaging role, you will commission, edit, write, and upload content, support the popular _Talking Indonesia_ podcast, and oversee social media accounts. Collaborate with academics, attend exclusive events, and play a crucial part in championing emerging Indonesian voices.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing blog operations, ensuring deadlines are met and content is timely.
- Monitoring Indonesian social and political developments to inform content.
- Identifying contributors, commissioning and translating articles, and uploading content, including cross-posting Talking Indonesia episodes.
- Building and maintaining relationships with academics, researchers, and civil society professionals.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You possess excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with a talent for editing and conveying complex ideas to a general audience. You are highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Additionally, you have strong judgement, effective coaching and mentoring skills, and a deep understanding of Indonesian social and political issues.

You also have:

- A completed master’s or PhD degree in a relevant field, such as politics, social science, or law.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc).
