Boasting a solid, long standing footprint throughout Australia, our client is a highly respected leader in the mining equipment industry and due to business growth and an increased pipeline of work, a rare opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join their team.

**Your new role**
In this highly diverse and interesting role, your responsibilities will include;
- Manage the day-to-day running of the Engineering Department and staff
- Provide Engineering and technical assistance and advice to customers, management, and workshop employees
- Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing process improving efficiency and sustainability
- Oversee project logistics, and resource allocation
- Maintain the engineering request for information process
- Troubleshoot engineering issues
- Set and manage project timeline budgets
- Encouraging team work and collaboration and take great pride in developing the skillset and effectiveness of each team member

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Be member, or Associated Member of Eng Australia and ideally hold (or qualify for) Chartered Status
- 8 or more years of related experience preferably in mining/manufacturing
- A thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Well developed supervisory, leadership and analytical skills
- Strong communication ability with both internal and external customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD software
- Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of Australian Standards and Coal Mining Regulations
- Previous team management experience with a collaborative approach
