East Melbourne, Australia Cricket Australia Full time

Working for Cricket Australia means that you become a part of Australia’s proud history and help us look toward the future. Our players and teams are successful, inspiring and reflect the values and aspirations of the community they represent. As an organisation, we are seeking to drive bold, transformative change in digital experiences, junior participation, culturally diverse inclusion, gender equality and sustainability, whilst also reimagining the W/BBL, building player connection through storytelling and playing our part in developing the game globally.

Our purpose is clear; to unite and inspire everyone to love and play cricket. Cricket is so much more than just a game; it brings people together and binds us all through our shared experiences.

This is your opportunity to join a purpose led organisation that truly makes a difference to Australians.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join the team. You will play a critical support role in the Procurement function of Cricket Australia, assisting the Senior Manager Procurement with a wide range of sourcing, tendering, and supplier engagement activities. This includes coordinating Requests for Proposal (RFPs), preparing procurement documentation, ensuring policy compliance, and supporting operational teams to secure goods and services that deliver value for money and align with organizational objectives.

The role is instrumental in delivering efficient, transparent, and probity-aligned procurement processes for key spend areas such as travel, consulting services, sports operations, event delivery, and technology.

Other key responsibilities include:

- Support the development and coordination of end-to-end procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Maintain contract registers, sourcing logs, and supplier records using internal systems.
- Maintain reporting dashboards and tools that provide visibility over procurement activity, contract coverage, and spend performance—particularly across travel, consulting, venue, and technology categories.
- Analyse historical and current spend data to identify trends, cost drivers, non-compliant/uncontracted spend, and savings opportunities.
- Provide deep-dive analytics into discretionary spend, ensuring procurement policies are adhered to and value-for-money principles are upheld.
- Maintain a procurement savings tracker aligned to annual targets and corporate budgeting cycles.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

The successful Procurement Specialist will have strong communication and stakeholder liaison abilities. You will also have:

- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement or sourcing support
- Familiarity with RFP and competitive tendering processes
- Strong writing and coordination skills, with an eye for detail and process
- Understanding of procurement policy, governance, and contract management principles
- Experience working in a government-funded, not-for-profit, or sporting organization
- Familiarity with sourcing in categories such as event services, travel, consulting, or sports operations
- Exposure to procurement or contract management platforms (e.g., Basware, D365, PowerBI)
- Awareness of probity, fairness, and ethical procurement practices
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of value-for-money principles
- Commitment to transparency, fairness, and accountability
- Excellent organization and time management skills

**WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?**

Our employees at Cricket are gifted an additional week of leave at the end of the season As a CA employee, you will also have other benefits including:

- Tickets to the Cricket for you to take your friends and family and experience Australia’s favourite game
- A flexible working environment, meaning we strike the balance of what you need and what works for the business (this isn’t limited to working remotely)
- Discounts from our partners such as ASICS and salary packaging options
- A multitude of leave types including paid parental leave and volunteer leave

**OUR CULTURE**

Cricket is a sport for all Australians and our workplace reflects that. We recognise our differences are our strength and a diverse and inclusive workforce is fundamental to our success. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people of colour, gender, LGBTIQ+ people, people with diverse religious beliefs and people with a disability to apply. Our culture is founded on our values:

- Aspire
- Respect
