As our Portfolio Manager, you’ll drive the alignment of our project portfolio with organisational strategy—ensuring every initiative delivers measurable impact and long-term value.
This is a maximum term contract role where you’ll be at the heart of transformation, working with passionate leaders and change-makers across the organisation.
Your opportunity
You’ll join the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) to lead the strategic direction of our project portfolio. You’ll be the bridge between vision and execution—translating strategy into action, empowering teams, and ensuring we deliver what matters most.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Define and maintain a dynamic portfolio roadmap aligned to strategic goals.
- Lead prioritisation and planning to maximise business value and impact.
- Oversee initiative estimation, budget allocation, and performance tracking.
- Embed governance and quality assurance across the portfolio lifecycle.
- Review and challenge business cases to sharpen strategic alignment.
- Partner with Change Managers to drive adoption and benefit realisation.
- Influence senior leaders to ensure delivery of business outcomes.
- Identify and resolve portfolio-level risks, interdependencies, and structural issues.
- Build frameworks that enable faster, smarter project delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and foster strong relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement through feedback and service innovation.
- Shape organisational change by defining requirements for major transformations.
- Lead and mentor within the EPMO, building a strong project management community.
What you’ll bring
You’re a strategic thinker, a confident communicator, and a collaborative leader. You thrive in complexity, love solving big problems, and know how to bring people together to get things done.
- 5+ years’ experience in portfolio management or similar leadership roles.
- Proven success in establishing and running a Portfolio.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of project and program management disciplines.
- Analytical mindset with a knack for turning data into action.
- Experience in portfolio practices and governance.
- Experience in aged care, community care, or not-for-profit sectors is a plus.
