Balmoral State High School was established in 1958. Over many decades this great secondary school has provided the education thousands of students have needed to begin their careers or move on to further study. Graduates have access to the full range of post-school options - tertiary study, training or the workforce. We are situated on ten hectares in Morningside, approximately 6km from the Brisbane CBD.

We are looking for someone who can teach classroom music (up to 3 Academy classes) with these additional attributes for ensuring success in our Academy:
- Be the face of the Music Academy, presenting to parents/community members about the program
- Communicate and organise workshops with our industry partners
- Organise and plan excursions/incursions for the development of our program
- Organise Music Academy auditions including all communication with parents/caregivers
- Facilitate end of term concerts and Music Academy showcases
- Organise performances for school events and lunch time concerts for student engagement
- Create engaging curriculum for Music Academy classes aligning to AC v9
- Coordinate and organise AMEB Music Theory Examinations including scheduling exam day
- Communicate weekly with parents with relevant information regarding the Music Academy and Instrumental Music programs
- Assist with the scheduling of Academy students and their instrumental music timetable with HoD and itinerate teachers

**Applicants must possess**:
- A relevant teaching qualification. Click here for further information on teaching qualifications.
- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher. For info CLICK HERE.
- In addition to registration, teachers workin g in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services. For info CLICK HERE.
