Are you passionate about making a difference in Indigenous education and culture? Balmoral State High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher Aide (Identified) to support student success and lead meaningful cross-cultural engagement across our school community.
This temporary vacancy is offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.79 FTE), 60 hours per fortnight. This vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest; any extension to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Responsibilities- Support the learning, wellbeing, and cultural engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, school events, and student supervision.
- Help deliver cross-cultural awareness initiatives across the school.
- Prepare learning resources and provide small group or one-on-one student support.
- Support student welfare, including administering first aid if qualified (school-funded training available).
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and cultural knowledge.
- Ability to work with sensitivity, confidentiality, and respect.
- Willingness to complete First Aid training.
- Experience working in schools or with young people.
- Understanding of Indigenous education and cultural priorities.
- Basic digital and organizational skills.
