Operating as part of the wider Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) group, Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) has an exciting portfolio consisting of 14 hotel and club venues located across greater Melbourne.

**What are the key responsibilities of this role?**
- The development of a structured pathway for Assistant Managers to grow into Venue Managers. This will include defining the learning criteria and developing a standardised skill benchmark for our Assistant Manager tier structure.
- The development, implementation, and maintenance of venue and kitchen management training programs to drive internal progression.
- Development of a high-performing cadet program to identify junior employees who have the potential for future management opportunities.
- Oversee the skill development of people at PLG venues with a focus on commercial growth & sharing of resources across the whole venue network.
- Assist in onboarding and upskilling newly acquired venues to the PLG way.

**Essential Requirements**
- Experience in an operational management role within a similar business in the hospitality industry.
- Willingness to travel across Greater Melbourne on a regular basis
- High level of communication and influencing skill
- Strong mentoring and interpersonal skills
- Time management skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- A variety of hospitality skills and experience across F&B, Gaming, stock, kitchens, people management, security and more to enable you to speak of stories and real-life experiences.

**Qualifications**
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- Hospitality Certificates (e.g. RSA & Advanced RSA, RSG 1-4, AML, Your Play, Gaming Licence, TAB Operator and Cash Controller, TAB compliance, Food Safety - Supervisor & Basics, First Aid & CPR).
- Business management-related qualifications (desirable)
