**The Business**:
Formed in 2009, Genus Infrastructure stems from a long family history dating back to the 1950's delivering end to end innovative solutions in many sectors across Australia, specialising in Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
Genus Infrastructure Pty Ltd are seeking qualified Cable Jointers with a Certificate 3 in ESI - Cable Jointing. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Cable Jointer will be responsible for:

- Maintaining and operating Cable joining equipment and devices.
- Preparing various types of Cable for splicing.
- Prepare cable terminations for electrical equipment and overhead lines.
- Make and repair joins in insulated power supply and control cables installed in underground pipes, trenches, and overhead systems.
- Joining cables and sealing sheaths with thermoplastics and lead (if accredited).
- Install and maintain underground electrical cables.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Certificate III in ESI - Cable Jointing.
- 3 + years in a similar role
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
- Valid Driver’s Licence - “C” Class.
- OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience in utilities and/or construction and/or resources industry.
- High Risk Work Licences (HRWL): Elevated Working Platform (EWP).
- Current Working at Heights Certification.
