**About the Role**:
The Lead Investment Manager works across industry, the whole of government and the broader department, securing Life Science and Medical Technology investment projects in Victoria.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Leading the engagement with major and strategic businesses to develop a pipeline of new investment and re-investment opportunities in Life Sciences and Medical Technologies
- Working with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives to identify investment opportunities, develop proposals and facilitate investment outcomes that will drive growth for the Victorian economy
- Leading on investment proposals to key decision-making bodies and other government agencies
- Leading commercial negotiations with prospective investors
- Representing the department at high level and complex meetings
- Providing expert advice to senior executives and Ministers on major investment projects including economic, financial and risk factors
- Preparing investment attraction proposals, reports, briefings, and cabinet submissions
- Leading investments that involve partnerships with other government agencies
- Working with industry strategy teams to develop key sector value propositions

**About you**:
The successful applicant will have significant industry expertise in Life Sciences and Medical Technologies under Australian rules and regulations. You will demonstrate passion for growing and supporting business growth in this key industry sector. Having this industry experience will allow you to identify opportunities that will be pivotal to Victoria's economic future.
