**THE ROLE**

As part of our diverse team based in **Melbourne**, you will help make a positive impact on someone’s life every day. You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.

As a Clinical Advisor (Pharmacy), you will be joining a high functioning and well-established team of like-minded colleagues. You will utilise your strong pharmacy background and problem-solving skills to provide support and guidance to the claims teams.

The primary focus of this role will be to strategically review injured workers’ medication profiles, including dosage, frequency, OME, etc, and ensure all medications are paid in line with appropriate Worksafe policies and guidelines.

This position will be a** full time, 12-month contract, **based in the** Melbourne CBD office **with flexibility to work from home up to three days a week, once fully trained.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitor pharmacy treatment requests and invoices to ensure timely and appropriate payments and reimbursements are made in line with the Clinical Framework for the Delivery of Health Services.
- Assist with the implementation of treatment and rehabilitation plans from a pharmaceutical perspective.
- Liaise with treating health practitioners to ensure best practice, evidence-based medicine is being adhered to.
- Assess requests and advise and guide Claims team members on appropriate pharmacy treatment services for claims management
- Develop and maintain a strong working partnership with the regulator

**ABOUT YOU**
- Pharmaceutical qualification required such as a tertiary degree including bachelor or Master of Pharmacy
- Excellent understanding of the Victorian legislation [relevant to medical and treatment intervention] and the associated regulations and Performance Measures
- Experience in injury management and strategic claims management within a claims agent or insurance company setting is advantageous
- Experience in collaborative Peer to Peer communications with treatment providers
- Highly developed stakeholder management and negotiation skills
