Bioproperties Pty Ltd is an Australian owned animal vaccine manufacturing company located at Glenorie in Sydney’s North-West. The company is significantly increasing its production capacity to continue the supply of existing and new live vaccines to the global market. As we use chickens in our production process, we are looking to expand our team with enthusiastic people.

**Animal Attendant / Technician (Location: Glenorie, NSW)**:
**The Role**
Animal Technicians are responsible for all stages of the chicken lifecycle as well as the buildings in which the birds are kept. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Handling of eggs, incubation, and hatching
- Daily monitoring and care of chicks and birds
- Harvesting birds for vaccine production
- Cleaning, decontamination and maintenance of bird houses and equipment
- Detailed record-keeping

**Skills & Requirements**
- Ability to uphold a high standard of animal welfare and care
- Capacity to deal with changing priorities and work pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role
- Flexibility in work hours (some weekends and public holidays)
- Own transport
- Poultry experience would be an advantage but not a necessity as all training will be provided

**Autoclave & Glassware (Sterilisation) Technician (Location: Glenorie, NSW)**:
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 x technicians with drive and interest to join our Clean Glassware and Production construction team.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Desirable, but not essential... an understanding of processes used in the decontamination of laboratory equipment, inspection, cleaning, dissemble, assemble, packaging and storage of laboratory glassware, and equipment.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Understanding of an autoclave
- Ability to conduct stock take of consumables
- Demonstrate organisational, oral and written communication skills
- Team player with ability to work autonomously
- Willingness to learn Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) skills
- Flexibility in work hours

- No contact with birds or poultry at home

**Requirements**:

- Preferred but not essential, experience using an autoclave
- Graduate from accredited program - University, TAFE or relevant experience
- High work rate, flexible with start/ finish times, as required

- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

**Clean Glassware and Production Technicians (multiple roles available) (location: Glenorie, NSW)**:
We have an exciting opportunity for technicians with drive and an interest to join our Clean Glassware and Production teams.

**Responsibilities for clean glassware include**:

- Cleaning and decontaminating glassware
- Sterilizing equipment (using autoclaves)
- Assembly of consumable equipment, such as tubing rigs
- Filling in GMP paperwork

**Responsibilities for production include**:

- Operating the sterile filling line

**Fermentation Laboratory Technician (location: Glenorie, NSW)**:
Great opportunity for pharmaceutical, food & beverage or manufacturing technician to contribute to upstream processing division for vaccine production. This is a rewarding position with significant projected expansion and includes world leading processes in mycoplasma fermentation. Remuneration includes a share of success programme after eligibility period.

**The Role**
As a Fermentation Technician working in our Fermentation department, you will:

- Operate laboratory equipment including fermentation vessels, bioreactors, filter integrity testing machines, balances, pH meters
- Assemble and operate fermenters, single use bag systems, Tangential Flow Filtration
- Perform aseptic inoculations and passaging of culture
- Complete relevant GMP paperwork
- Work in a GMP sterile/clean room production facility and learn aseptic laboratory skills
