**About the Role**

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer for an initial period, this role is responsible for overseeing the Data Analytics and Insights (DA&I) team to help support and manage existing and new activities undertaken across the team.

This role is accountable for leading and setting the direction for Business Engagement, Data Solutions Engineering, Data Management, BI and Reporting, and Data Analytics capabilities aligned to the future state data vision. The role ensures that the DA&I team is structured and resourced in an effective and productive way to optimise outputs and outcomes for the business. The purpose of this role is to help power the business and drive innovation using data, promoting the management and value of data as a corporate asset.

A key focus area of this role is to oversee the establishment of the new centralised DA&I team, and lead its’ transformation to improve data governance, data systems and data processes. This role is tasked with creating and driving business value with data through data management, data quality and leading data strategy and information strategy.

Some of the duties and responsibilities for this role will include:
**Long term roadmap & enterprise scope definition**
- Define the Enterprise Data Strategy in line with/support of enterprise and business unit strategies
- Drive cross-business unit decisions that align business priorities with business unit strategies into an enterprise data strategy
- Integrate and align business unit roadmaps into an enterprise data roadmap to deliver on the enterprise data strategy
- Question scope of initiatives which are misaligned with the enterprise data roadmap

**Prioritisation of enterprise data needs**
- Define the prioritisation framework for cross-business unit initiatives
- Provide advisory services to business units on prioritisation and requirements as needed
- Establish cross-business unit data priorities to guide prioritisation of data sources for quality remediation, capturing metadata and loading to the data platform to ensure organisation and business unit priorities are factored into data initiatives.
- Co-ordinate with business units for funding requests and implementation of cross business unit initiatives

**Enterprise program funding**
- Define, control, and track a pool of enterprise funding for closing prioritised gaps in enterprise data provisioning capabilities

**Communication and Change Management**
- Develop an enterprise-wide plan to promote data management/ownership and shift mindsets to promote evidence-based decision-making across the business

**About You**
- An extensive background in data management and analytics
- Demonstrated strong leadership experience at an enterprise level or in a cross-functional role
- Familiarity with end to end business lifecycle from strategy definition to operational execution and monitoring
- Experience gained in technology environments with focus on data management
- Bachelor Qualifications in computer and/or information sciences, or similar
- Understanding of financial services industry is well regarded
- Project management leadership and familiarity with enterprise Agile ways of working
- A Demonstrated strategic mindset and high level of analytical, conceptual, interpretive and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional influencing skills along with written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently liaise with stakeholders at all levels
