Production Officer/planner

**The Role**
Ventia in partnership with the Australian Defence Force are seeking a Production Officer to join our South Australian team. The successful applicant will create a team environment, with the Work Order Management Administrators, that promotes ownership of work orders from creation to physical job completion. You will ensure all work order management related requirements are managed and controlled promptly and effectively and that the Joint Logistics Unit (JLU) Claim Rejections are resolved in a timely manner
The role is being offered as permanent full-time, Monday to Friday and you will be based at the RAAF Base Edinburgh as part of the Defence Maintenance Support Services (DMSS) contract.
**Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:
- Ensure compliance with Ventia and contract specific quality assurance and safety programs at the same time promoting a continuous improvement philosophy.
- Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with the JLU to develop and maintain effective working procedures.
- Provide clear and regular communication with team, JLU Manager and staff as well as client contacts.
- Attend review meetings with Clients & Contract Managers.
- Provide Leadership and operational guidance to the Work Order Management & and Claim Rejections.
- Provide support to Operations in the provision of data and management of work orders.
- Provide guidance to the Finance and Administration Team to enable resolution of claim rejections.
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Substantial experience and demonstrated competencies in managing and coordinating complicated maintenance production and planning outputs. (Within a Defence environment highly regarded)
- Experience in the use of maintenance management software systems around coordinating and planning tasks in a maintenance environment. (Desirable)
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to coach & lead work teams.
- A sound understanding of work order management principles and good problem determination skills.
- Ability to analyse and exercise sound judgement and coordinate multiple work projects.
- Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1._
- As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen._
