Swinburne Student Life has an opening for an Advocacy Officer to join the team
The primary objective is to meet the needs of Swinburne University of Technology students by continuously improving service delivery, providing individualised support to enhance student satisfaction, and strengthening their connection with the University throughout their journey.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is committed to providing professional and responsive engagement with both internal and external stakeholders of the University.
**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated relevant experience in advocacy and/or the interpretation and implementation of policy, procedure and regulation.
- Ability to deliver outstanding customer service, to implement new initiatives and take an innovative approach to customer service and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in assisting a culturally diverse client base in high stress and high pressure situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Ability and capacity to contribute to the development of a positive and co-operative team environment.
- Prior experience and knowledge of the University sector is preferred.
**Qualifications**
- A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
