**We're a wholesale bakery business located in West End, **we specialize in delicious plant-based desserts that are distributed all over Australia. We're looking for a new team member to support our current teams.

The tasks in this role will be diverse and include:

- Washing dishes, equipment and machinery throughout the day
- Performing any heavy lifting and any tasks required by the kitchen team
- Working on our protein ball line and cake/brownie slab slicing line
- End of day clean

You will also be responsible for assembling packaging and product packing, completing HACCP records and QA checks, as well as checking and signing off on goods dispatched/received.

Other duties will include printing pick slips, picking/packing orders, general set up and pack down, and washing dishes and cleaning machines.

**What we're keeping our eyes peeled for**:
**1. A minimum of two years of experience** in a commercial food production environment, whether that's within food processing or as a kitchen hand or cook in a cafe, bakery, hotel, restaurant, or food manufacturing facility.
2. **A thorough understanding of food hygiene practices, **you know how to keep a clean work station.
3. **An enthusiastic, upbeat, and hardworking attitude. **This is a big one for us. Our small team is a positive and friendly bunch so If you tend to have a negative outlook, communicate through grunts, or dislike taking direction, this may not be the right role for you.
4. **Showing initiative and being proactive.** If you notice something out of place or needing attention, we 're on the hunt for people who take action or bring it to our attention.
5. **Excellent communication skills**. We value communicating in a helpful and friendly manner.
6. **Reliability.** We're looking for people who are keen to work, arrive to shifts and don't let the team down.

**Requirements**:

- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Availability for 5 days per week, starting from 7am, Monday to Friday
- Fast leaner, detail orientated
- Physical fitness and strength to handle heavy lifting throughout the day (10 to 25kg repetitively)

**Salary: $29.00 per hour**
