We're a wholesale bakery business located in West End (relocating to Stafford late December), we specialise in delicious plant-based desserts that are distributed all over Australia. We're looking for a few new team members to join our Portioning & Packing Area.

**THE ROLE**:
The tasks in this role will vary, most days you'll be operating our protein ball and slicing machines, along with hand slicing brownie and cake slabs.

You'll also be assembling packaging and packing products to cake boxes, completing HACCP records and QA checks, as well as checking and signing off on goods dispatched/received.

Other duties will include picking/packing customer orders, general set up and pack down, and washing dishes and cleaning machines.

**TELL ME MORE**:
We're a small and genuinely friendly team, it's a kind and caring working environment. Your day will start at 7am, include a 15 minute morning break and a half an hour lunch. We clock off at 3:30pm and only operate from Monday to Friday so the afternoons and weekends are all yours

**WHO WE WANT**:
**1. A minimum of two years of experience** in a commercial food production environment, whether that's within food processing or as a kitchen hand or cook in a cafe, bakery, hotel, restaurant, or food manufacturing facility.
2. **A thorough understanding of food hygiene practices, **you know how to keep a clean work station.
3. **An enthusiastic, upbeat, and hardworking attitude. **This is a big one for us. Our small team is a positive and friendly bunch so If you tend to have a negative outlook, communicate through grunts, or dislike taking direction, this may not be the right role for you.
4. **Showing initiative and being proactive.** If you notice something out of place or needing attention, we 're on the hunt for people who take action or bring it to our attention.
5. **Excellent communication skills**. We value communicating in a helpful and friendly manner.
6. **Reliability.** We're looking for people who are keen to work, arrive to shifts and don't let the team down.

**HOURS & PAY**:
Award Rates: $29.33 per hour. Five days per week, 7am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

- Physical fitness and strength to handle heavy lifting throughout the day (10 to 25kg repetitively)

Pay: $29.33 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
