**About the role**
We’re seeking an Aboriginal Health Worker to join our Palliative Care team at John Hunter Hospital. In this role, you will enhance access to and understanding of palliative care within the Aboriginal community, providing culturally appropriate and holistic support in both community and hospital settings.

As a vital part of the Palliative and End of Life Care team, you’ll offer social, emotional, and cultural support to Aboriginal families, guiding them through the palliative journey with compassion and understanding. Your work will be supported by our multidisciplinary team of Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and Medical staff, with direct line management from the Deputy Director of Nursing, Medical and Interventional Services.

This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring palliative care services are responsive to Aboriginal cultural needs.
