**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Experience Design, you will be responsible for developing and managing Design output for specified Personal Bank domains (e.g Personal Everyday Banking, Financial Crime). This is a leadership role where you will ensure that Design deliverables are aligned to stakeholder expectations and are executed within budget and deadlines

You will be responsible for recruitment and management of Design resources consisting of permanent, contractor and 3rd party suppliers. It will involve using best practice toolkits to support the implementation of the new Design Operating Model and support the Head of in achieving Design outcomes.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Manage a group of multiskilled (CU/UX) Design team members and influence design led thinking across a specific Domain
- Manage and build relationships with relevant Domain leads, Domain PO’s, Technical Leads, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure Design is imbedded in the planning and delivery lifecycle for the Domain
- Manage resources to meet the Domain’s Customer Experience objectives in alignment with their strategy
- Provide targeted communication to all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of Design dependencies, deliverables and issues and to measure and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Facilitate delivery of the business outcomes to enable the project sponsor to realise return on investment by developing, maintaining and implementing excellent design practices.
- Adhere and contribute to knowledge management objectives and processes; and ensure active participation in the continual improvement of Design Processes and standards in partnership with the Design Foundation Framework COE team
- Work with other Customer Experience Design Managers to ensure consistency of Design across Domains and management of any Design Dependencies

**What you will bring**:
To be successful in the role you will be have proven experience in Design and management of Design functions; as well as experience working in complex environments and with a range of stakeholders. Further to this you will have:

- Strong stakeholder and engagement experience
- Ability to manage financials and project plans
- Advanced and confident communication skills and the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders
- Experience leading teams
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines without compromising on quality
