With origins from Sydney, our business was founded in 2002 where Hume began supplying to local fit out companies, installers and contractors. From the beginning, we as an organisation have always valued reliability and best service, and we strive to package that as part of the customer experience.

Hume is now a well-established business in the building materials sector, with 8 stores supplying an extensive range of building materials to VIC and NSW. We want to meet people who truly understand what it means to better the customer experience, from the showroom visit all the way through to delivery.

The strength of our Customer Service team has consistently been built on solid training, trust building, and quality leadership. We are looking to bring fresh talent to the team and currently have a Customer Service All Rounder position available at our Sunshine West VIC store.

**Your Main Duties**
- Greeting and assisting walk in customers
- Taking orders over the phone
- Generating orders in our ERP system
- Generating customer order picking slips and tax invoices
- Assisting customers with their enquiries
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers
- Cash handling, office administration, and clerical duties
- Replenishing and merchandising of products in our store/showroom/warehouse
- Perform warehouse duties such as manual order picking/packing with heavy lifting
- Forklift driving with a sense of safety in mind at all times
- Tasks as required by the Supervisor across the showroom and warehouse grounds

**What You Can Bring**
- Face to face customer service experience is imperative
- Can demonstrate patience with customers by being understanding
- Can-do attitude and willing to go the extra mile
- Resilience and advanced problem-solving ability
- Excellent memory to learn our extensive product range
- Savvy working with computer systems
- An understanding and appreciation of WH&S
- Current Forklift Licence with experience in forklift operation
- Ability to speak Chinese language (advantageous)

**Working Hours**

Our business hours of operation are:

- Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm
- Saturday from 6:00am to 3:30pm

Shifts worked are based on a rotating roster.
