**What you’ll be doing**

The objective of the Accounts Receivable Officer role (internally known as Revenue Protection Officer), is to support the efficient operation of the Accounting Receivable and Revenue Accounting teams, including invoicing, receipting, ad-hoc refunds/captures and travel agency risk monitoring functions. The role will work to develop/maintain best practice systems and processes and controls, ensuring accurate billing/receipting functions in order to protect revenue as well as ensure that refunds/captures are processed accurately in a timely manner while minimising revenue leakage.

**Further responsibilities**:

- Create invoices for all entities of the business, including Cargo which involves weekly Cargo invoice runs
- Process all receipts made into bank account relevant to the AR role
- Process credit notes in accordance with accounting policies and business controls
- Ensure invoices are sent and/or uploaded to the correct customers/portals in a timely manner
- Debt collection for all entities
- Assist with resolving queries from the customers/business
- Perform refunds for back office refund requests in back office systems to which other teams do not have access. This includes:

- Refunds for Plusgrade and Lounge and non-ticket related requests (ET/MAI refunds)
- Ensuring segregation of duties from other front line teams that do not have either the knowledge or system access to process
- Ensure refunds/captures are processed in a timely and accurate manner, preventing revenue leakage
- Maintain required controls via segregation of duties with other front line teams and compliance checks for relevant approvals where required

**You’ll be great in this role if you**
- At least one year experience in an Accounts Receivable role
- Strong ability with computer systems and Excel
- High level of organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and work with little supervision
- Good communication and a positive attitude
- Can come into our Brisbane Southbank office at least 3 days per week (there is flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week)
