**About the role**
As the Safety, Wellbeing, Environment and Quality Partner, you will be part of the Workplace Safety and Wellbeing team and will be responsible for facilitating and influencing the active engagement of relevant stakeholder managers in the research, development and implementation planning of safety and other related programs to meet business plans and corporate goals. Your main focus will be on Resource Recovery, Ipswich Waste Services, in all matters relating to safety, wellbeing, environment and quality.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Engaging relevant stakeholder managers to develop, implement and adopt integrated business practices that complement line management requirements to achieve excellence in safety, wellbeing, environment, and quality practices as standard working practice.
- Advise, support, and enable the development, implementation and maintenance of safety, wellbeing, environment and quality and other related systems and processes that achieve safe operating process, procedures, and safe systems of work.
- Provide professional and effective consultation services on safety matters and ensure participation in safety consultative committees, safety meetings, local team works planning and safety, wellbeing, environment, and quality review meetings.
- Facilitate the development of “line management ownership” of safety objectives, plans and performance measures in the specific business unit, assisting and coaching employees and managers to support the implementation of safety, wellbeing, environment and quality objectives and business goals.

- Extensive knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and standards, including:

- Work Health and Safety Act and Work Health and Safety Regulations
- Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act and Regulations
- Quality Management Systems aligned to ISO-9001
- Environmental Health Legislation and Management Systems aligned to ISO-14001
- QLD Codes of Practice and AS/NZS relevant to Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Safety.

A pre-employment medical will be required for this position (including drug and alcohol testing)

This is a permanent, full-time position, level 6 with a salary package commencing at $97,134 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
