**About the role**
- Rewinding DC formed coil armatures (HME and Locomotive)
- Rewinding AC formed coil stators (HME and Locomotive)
- Static electrical testing (surge test, AC Hi-pot, bar-to-bar, core loss)
- Armature/rotor mechanical inspections (journals, taper blue)
- Installation of steel and resiglass bands
- TIG welding commutator risers
- Armature and rotor shaft replacement
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safety environment
- Engagement and commitment to UGL OneHSE culture
- Further in-housing training provided

**About You**
- Relevant Trade Qualification as Electrical Fitter; Electrical Machine Repair or equivalent
- Experience in overhaul, repair and rewind of AC and DC motors.
- Experience in overhaul, repair and rewind of generators and / or rotating electrical equipment.
- Previous experience as Armature Winder is highly desirable
- High level of measuring skills and eye for detail and quality standards
- Strong communication skills. Both oral and written
- Strong commitment to safety workplace
