Bassendean, Australia UGL Limited Full time

**Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) / Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Technician's - Mechanical or Electrical, **for overhaul activities on wheel motors and alternators
**. **These positions will be a permanent full time opportunities working on a rotational shift basis, 3 week roster cycle working 10 and 12 hour day and afternoon shifts (some mid week days off and 1 Saturday in every 3 weeks, no Sundays).

**About the role**
- Disassemble, inspect, requalify, assemble and test of HME/OHV wheel motors and alternators
- Measure and inspect critical journals
- Cleaning of assemblies and parts
- Requalification inspections of bearings and gears
- Ensure active involvement in Lean practices
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safety environment
- Engagement and commitment to UGL OneHSE culture
- Extensive in-house training provided

**About You**
- Relevant Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification e.g. Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter or Electrical fitter.
- Heavy mining equipment (HME) maintenance (Komatsu 930, 830, 730, CAT MT4400) or component overhaul experience (wheel motors, alternators, traction motors, gearboxes, hoists, spindles)
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Desirable to have experience with industrial gear boxes, brakes, wheel motors and/or alternators
- Strong communication skills. Both oral and written
- A valid driver’s license
