**Purpose of the role - Head of Development**
As the Head of Development at The Achieve Foundation, you will drive the growth of our Major Gifts revenue stream by identifying, cultivating, and securing sustained contributions from high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic organisations. Your focus will be on creating meaningful donor relationships that enhance our mission of advancing social inclusion for people with disability in Australia

**Role Responsibilities**:
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Investment and Philanthropy to develop and implement the organisation’s engagement, mass, mid-level and major donor strategy with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and their giving vehicles.
- Conduct extensive prospect research and identify potentials for engagement. This includes wealth scanning and researching philanthropists.
- Formulate recruitment and retention strategy for Major Donors. This includes a donor stewardship program that connects with donors, following up with them on their contributions to build authentic lasting relationships.
- Develop effective communication material to convey TAF’s mission to major donors. This includes marketing materials, major gifts proposals and gift solicitation letters.
- Build a Major Gifts revenue stream to generate a minimum annual revenue of $1.5M leading up to annual revenues of $2M in 3 years.
- Manage all aspects of metrics and reporting related to mass, mid-level and major gifts to TAF
- Represent TAF at networking events and sector meetings.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- Advanced level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders in a range of styles as well as the ability to write detailed reports and submissions Storytelling abilities are an essential skill for this role.
- Demonstrated expertise in fundraising specifically in generating a minimum of $1M annually in Major Gifts revenue.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing a donor journey strategy for mass, mid-level and major donors.
- Demonstrated expertise in organising events to achieve revenue goals including, but not limited to, fundraising events, round table gatherings of donors and engagement opportunities.
- Demonstrated expertise in employing prospect research tools and donor databases for Major Gifts.
- Demonstrated expertise in measuring data and ensuring reporting in relation to major giving. This includes working knowledge of nonprofit CRM software.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work with mínimal supervision, including the ability to multi-task efficiently.
