We are currently recruiting a Head of Finance - Technology to play a pivotal role in supporting and partnering with the business on decisions and outcomes to drive this new strategic direction for the Foxtel Group.

Our Head of Finance, Technology must be able to translate this into impact on the business through building teams that are trusted, confident and prepared to expertly challenge and influence outcomes. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will lead the day-to-day business partnering function for Technology for the Foxtel group.

This role will have a significant impact on cross-functional decisioning and financial outcomes, therefore it is critical that the Head of Finance can work effectively in a matrix structure and be the central point of contact for the finance matters for key stakeholders.

**Key areas of focus will include**:

- Establish trusting and productive relationships with key stakeholders, earning finance a ‘seat at the table’ and driving quality debate and decisioning that supports optimised development and delivery of business plans
- Lead the redesign and implementation of new ‘ways of working’ with the business to clarify roles, responsibilities and expectations for operational and financial planning
- Identify potential solutions to address gaps and problems within the current finance space with the business and lead the process to address these working closely with relevant areas including Finance Operations, Fin Control, HR and the business
- Lead finance fundamentals training as required across the business to help reinforce RACIs and best practice ways of working and thereby ensuring finance and the business work more effectively together
- Drive continuous improvements to budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes for P&L and capex, ensuring credibility of financial plans, early identification of risks and opportunities and working with the business to establish mitigation strategies
- Provide clarity around tech and ops key assumptions and cost drivers and develop tracking tools to monitor milestones and costs particularly in relation to the group’s streaming aggregation project
- SME on Technology Centres-of-Excellence for the Foxtel group, including Streaming and OTT platform development, customer and data systems, product development and innovation and PMO
- Direct responsibility of leading a small team and driving a high performing team culture, with indirect oversight with key teams across the Sports Streaming business where several workstreams and projects across the different business units are heavily inter-dependant

**Your experience and capability**
- 8 Years + experience in a Commercial Finance role or similar (Technology industry highly desirable)
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with a proven ability to build trusted relationships across the business
- Comfortable navigating through a changing and complex environment and adapting to challenges and opportunities as they arise
- Experience in developing change management approaches and the ability to understand current business processes and help to model new processes/procedures
- Comfortable synthesising complex information and distilling into key insights and actions for management
- Ability to translate how activity drivers and choices translate to revenue outcomes
- Pragmatic and collaborative approach to problem solving with an ability to identify quick wins
