Tasks & Responsibilities

Working on new machines in our clean, quite factory with world class components, tools and machinery, reporting directly to the factory supervisor and design office you will:

- Problem solving skills and the capability to solve and repair complex mechanical issues efficiently and efectively
- Have excellent hand - eye coordination
- Read and interpret detailed engineering designs / drawings
- Manufacture precision components using manual Lathe and Mill
- Construct and assemble complex pieces of machinery and equipment designed and built to be fit-for-purpose for our customers
- Perform fitting and assembly of components
- Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit
- Assemble items precisely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Perform quality control of assembled special purpose machines
- Investigate safety on new special purpose machines, issue related paperwork (risk assessments, etc)
- Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of machines, and repair mechanical parts
- Testing machine functions to performance criteria of client specification requirements
- Assisting with factory acceptance test on various machine models with the clients both in person and remotely (video, etc.)
- Assisting in preparation of details for manuals, handover packs, etc
- Ensuring project timelines are on target

**Salary**: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Fitter: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
- Trade Certificate (required)

Work Authorisation:
