**About Us**

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of sterilising services in a hospital, health clinic and dental clinic environment, including the disinfection and sterilisation of reusable medical and dental devices and the storage of sterile goods for clinical use. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure compliance with defence policies and procedures, Australian Standards and National Health and Medical Research Council guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Knowledge of AS/NZ 4187:2014 (Reprocessing of reusable medical devices in health service organisations) and AS/NZS 4815-2006 (Office-based health care facilities - Reprocessing of reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment, and maintenance of the associated environment).
- Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
- 1 years’ experience in central sterilisation department in an approved facility (or part-time equivalent).

**About the ACT Health Centre**

The ACT Health Centre is brand new facility - having opened in mid-2021 - and is an amalgamation of the Duntroon and Russell Health Centres. Approximately 7000 military personnel attend the Health Centre, including trainee officers from both the ADFA and Royal Military College. The Health Centre offers inpatient and outpatient services, as well as dentistry, physiotherapy, and pharmacy. Standard operating hours are 0700-1900 Monday-Friday, with a ward that operates 24/7.

With a solid knowledge of the requirements and routines of a clinical environment, you enjoy taking control of ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures as well using your excellent communication skills to advise clinical staff on sterilisation matters. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do. You are passionate about providing clinical support services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.
