**We are hiring**

We build staff around every client, depending on each person’s needs and preferences. We partner with people with any type of disability who want to live independently in the community, we are very passionate about making an impact, helping our participants reach their goals and ensuring they’re living their best lives.

**Responsibilities**:
We put our participants at the center of everything. Every person we support has their own needs and personality, and your responsibilities will reflect that.

Here are some of the areas that you are most likely to be involved in:

- Health and wellbeing. This might mean supporting someone to make positive choices about eating well, taking exercise and maintaining good hygiene. It might also involve helping them with dressing and getting to the toilet.
- Open to activities supporting clients with their hobbies like fishing, playing musical instruments, exercise, arts and crafts, DIY projects and other recreational activities.

*Daily living skills. Things like paying bills, attending appointments, shopping, cooking, and cleaning can be challenging for someone with a disability, so you’ll be on hand to support and encourage them.
- There will be some important administration to do as well, such as writing detailed creating case notes and incident reports of the shifts to improve our services to participants.

Cert III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent (highly desirable but not necessary)

An unrestricted QLD driver’s licence and access to a reliable insured vehicle

Be highly organised, flexible and reliable with the ability to respond to last minute shifts/ crisis and emergency shifts

Previous experience with behaviour support plans would be an advantage but not essential

Confidence in de-escalating behaviours of concern

Experience in mental health would be an advantage but not essential

Ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop

Experience and skills supporting clients who can display behaviours of concern (BOC) would be an advantage but not essential

Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives

A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to employment

NDIS Worker screening check or the immediate ability to apply

Working with Children Check (or the ability to attain one)

National police clearance check

Access to a smart phone and ability to navigate and utilize apps.

Our team work on an ABN basis and we will require you to have or willing to obtain an ABN prior to starting, we pay an hourly rate + super.
