Casual position

Responsibilities will include:

- Meeting our clients’ individual needs in the least restrictive way possible;
- Mentoring clients and assisting them to gain and develop skills
- Being a positive role model and provide positive support to our clients’ in areas such as emotional behaviour, assistance with personal care and hygiene, transport, education, cooking and domestic duties;
- Assisting in dispensing client medication and adherence to client support plans;
- Manual handling;
- Completing clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports;
- Managing complex and challenging client behaviors (including aggressive behaviours);
- Supporting our clients to engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities;
- Nurturing dignity, autonomy and positive self-esteem.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
- Current drivers licence (mandatory requirement);

**Mandatory requirement**
- Current First Aid Certificate (mandatory requirement);
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (mandatory requirement);
- Preferably previous experience supporting people concerns and needs;
- Basic computer literacy (training provided on our systems).
- Be willing and available for call in shifts.
- Comprehensive insured Car

- Do you have a current NDIS Worker Screening Check?
- Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?
- Do you have prior experience as a disability support worker?
- Do you have a current Working With Children (WWC) Check?
- Have you completed a qualification in disability?
- How many hours are you available to work per week?

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Personal Support: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- CPR Certification (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening & Working With Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Check (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
