AHI provide market leading accident, medical and travel insurance, to keep people covered at home and abroad. AHI has an exciting opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Team. Based in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and reporting to the Team Lead - Senior Underwriting Services Centre. **About You** - 1-3 years underwriting experience - Knowledge and understanding of insurance industry, including industry legislation and changes within including FSRA (compliance), Privacy Act, General Insurance Code of Practice - Accident & Health Market underwriting knowledge is preferred but not essential - Ability to work both within team and autonomously - Effective communication skills; both verbal and written **About what your role includes**: - Responsibility for quoting and processing allocated portfolio of Broker Contacts - Servicing, building & maintaining relationships with Brokers - Negotiating policy renewals within technical rates provided - Manage day-to-day broker enquiries - Opportunities to grow portfolio in conjunction with Market Facing Underwriters - Provide administrative and other support to Market Facing Underwriters - Attending broker/Industry functions (as and when required) - Preparation and issuing various policy documentation - Keeping systems updated and storing files accurately **What’s in it for you?** - Competitive salary with great benefits including discounts on the products of multi-national Japanese brands - Flexible working arrangements that include a 2 work-from-home days - pick your days to suit your schedule - Staff discounts on all insurance products - A collaborative, friendly, highly supportive business culture with a flat structure that is designed to help you succeed And many more In return, we will give you everything you need to develop your skills and build a successful career in the Tokio Marine Group.
