- 255589Peoplebank are currently recruiting for **two** **Junior Data Analysts** to join a **Government** department, based in **Adelaide**, on an initial **12 month fixed term contract (with a strong chance of permanent, on-going work) **where you will be paid a competitive starting salary and enjoy paid annual and sick leave.

Due to the nature of the work, you must be an **Australian Citizen** to be eligible and also willing to go through baseline security clearance once you start the job.

With offices in the heart of the Adelaide CBD, but the flexibility to also work from home for part of the week (hybrid work set up) this is a truly exciting time to join, as they invest and grow their Data Analytics team.

Indeed, the Data Analytics team is a small, energetic group with diverse skillsets and a strong strategic focus. The team works on various project types, including establishing and managing automated data collections, audit and corporate analytics work, building and maintaining data analytics apps and supporting analytics learning and development initiatives.

**Responsibilities**
- As a Data Analyst in the Data Analytics team, you will use your professional skills and knowledge to prepare, analyse and report results from various analytics projects.
- Using data analytics and visualisation tools, such as Microsoft SQL, PowerBI / Tableau you will identify and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets while also assessing and improving data quality.
- Some of the analytics projects you will be involved with include; work to support specific financial statement and performance audits, general audit planning processes and developing models to validate financial and system datasets.
- As we seek to grow data analytics capabilities further, you will also assist us to promote the use of data analytics in other teams.

**Skills and Experience**
- **1 to 3+ years **of commercial work** experience **as a **Business Intelligence** or** Data Analyst **/ Data Engineer / Reporting **Analyst (or similar)**:

- Commercial work experience in using **data analytics and visualisat**ion tools (ideally **PowerBI** or **Tableau**)
- Experience in using computer programming languages used for performing data extraction and analysis (e.g. **SQL** or Python)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
