Hays is partnered with a local government based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. They oversee the waste facility where you would be joined by many of our temporary staff who speak well of their experience with this client. This particular department provides services to the municipality for cleansing of roads, public bins, BBQ's and shopping centres whilst also managing drainage.

**Your new role**

Although we’ve filled multiple temporary positions with this client, this role is a full time permanent opportunity for a Waste Transfer Station Operator. Some duties to expect in this role:

- Contribute to the operations of the transfer station
- Handling cash and transactions
- Operating HC vehicles, forklifts, front end loaders/backhoes
- Maintenance of plant machinery and equipment

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

- Working at Heights Certificate
- HC Truck License
- Forklift License
- Backhoe/Front End Loader experience
- Commitment to learning and progressing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
