**Manager, Transfer Station and Commercial Waste Operations**

Citywide are recruiting for a Manager of the Transfer Station and Commercial Waste business. In this role you will be leading all operations pertaining to the Dynon Road Transfer Station including negotiating agreements and driving business growth.

**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Negotiate agreements and maintain contacts and strong working relationships
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to grow the business
- Develop and deliver an annual business plan
- Deliver on overall profitability, strategic direction and growth of the municipal and commercial waste operations
- Manage the financial activities of the business including budgets and forecasts
- Ensure the safety of self, colleagues, contractors and general public along with the safe and appropriate use of all relevant plant and equipment
- Accountable for ensuring that all safety procedures are in place, there is a strong safety culture in the team, that all hazards reporting and incident investigations are taking place actions are implemented
- Lead, manage and inspire the team to achieve their goals by providing clear business direction and ensuring a highly performing and competent workforce

**Skills, experience and qualifications required**:

- Previous experience managing a significant asset and operations management
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in operations management at senior/divisional level
- Demonstrable experience in managing large teams with sustained productivity levels and operating divisions effectively
- Strong skill sand proven ability in the principles of negotiation and dealing with people related matters
- Experience in preparing business strategies and budgets
- Proven ability to build relationships with customers and negotiate contracts
- Strong ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
