**Job Description**:
**The General Manager -**Toll Healthcare** is responsible for the leadership and management of Toll’s Healthcare business & product lines, whilst ensuring the provision of; and conforming to Toll ‘s and Toll’s Customer’s quality assurance, accreditation, risk and compliance management systems and procedures. The role is responsible to ensure that the strategic and operational plans are successfully pursued and coordinated with the right level of resources to deliver a profitable business, whilst overseeing the identification of growth areas in consultation with the Business Development team and driving a unified culture of safety, people, customer and operational excellence.

**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Management Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the Toll Government & Defence Strategic direction, whilst being accountable for the development and execution of the Healthcare Business Unit objectives and targets.
- Identify and drive growth opportunities within the industry and cross business opportunities to contribute to the wider Toll Strategic direction; including strategic acquisitions, open up new markets, capture new opportunities.
- Create a culture of safety, people, customer and operational excellence; create a high-performance team that drives continuous improvement of their own standards of performance in areas of quality, efficiency, customer service, safety and environmental.
- Exercise strong business and commercial acumen in new and existing opportunities to achieve profitable long-term partnering arrangements.
- Build strong relationships with our customer/s and identity opportunities to grow our business through a sustainable and integrated business model whilst leveraging Tolls capabilities across the broader Toll business units.
- Provide strong leadership, creating a positive workplace culture through collaboration and influencing the mindset of our people to improve the overall capability of the business unit.
- Set priorities, budgets & plans to achieve overall strategy, goals and targets.
- Balance capabilities to achieve the long-term strategy.
- Identification and delivery of strategic goals and empower team members to deliver day to day operational plans.
- Ensure the resources (people, systems, financial) and assets are available to meet the business plan.
- Creating a team with clear roles, accountabilities and decision making.
- Make astute business decisions based on sound judgement and in accordance with established budgets and business unit objectives and Toll’s policies.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with the terms and conditions to ensure service level agreements and contractual obligations are constantly being met & preferably exceeded.

**ACCOUNTABILITY**

**Quality Assurance specific**:

- Achieve & maintain accreditation against all quality & compliance standards.
- Maintain & improve risk and compliance structures and systems to enable the business to manage risk and function within the legislative frameworks and according to customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain accreditation schedules and cycles internally and externally.
- Develop and maintain risk and compliance profiles of the Healthcare business unit, encompassing identification, analysis, and instigation of controls for all risks.
- Ensure all work is performed is in accordance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, procedures & customer requirements.
- Prepare and table QA compliance reports for Toll’s leadership team and as per Client requirements.
- Ensure all records is kept up to date according to quality standards and contribute to ensuring safe custody and confidentially of all records in electronic format.

**Other**:

- Primary contact and accountable for all senior / executive level customer engagements within portfolio.
- Set long term priorities across sub-vertical and balance resources to optimize outcomes for the wider group.
- Ensure the work group functions effectively and team members are trained and developed.
- Hold the team accountable to implement agreed business plans to optimize production / operational outputs.
- Hold the team accountable to monitor and evaluate contracts financial and operational results, including weekly revenue and cost reporting, and compliance.
- Preparation of forecasts and undertake performance reviews within business unit.

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role.
