**About the role**
As the Co-ordinator, Strategic Parks and Sports Grounds, you will be part of the Field Services Team, and will be responsible for providing technical advice and logistic organisation to manage the delivery of maintenance, operation and development services for Council’s Strategic Parks and Sport and Recreation facilities.
Some of your key responsibilities may include:
- Provide advice and assistance to Council Officers and senior management on matters relevant to sport and recreation facilities, consistent with Council’s strategic direction
- Ensure sports field and strategic park maintenance and development is appropriate to ensure that facilities and parks are fit for purpose for users
- In consultation with the Principal Officer and District Co-ordinators, develop and maintain a five year sports field maintenance program for all the sports fields across the City
- Monitor the operation of Council’s sports field irrigation management systems and liaise with respective Supervisors to ensure any repairs are affected in a timely manner and all systems remain operational
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
- Certificate III in Horticulture and Sports Turf Management or significant progress towards obtaining the same or relevant industry experience.
- Possession of a current Queensland “C” class Driver’s licence.
- Statements of Attainment or evidence of proficiency (equivalent knowledge and experience) for the competencies outlined in the Position Description
**Additional Information**
- Workers may be required pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight-fitting respirator, and at regular intervals during their employment.
- A pre-employment medical is required for this role (Including Drug and Alcohol)

This is a full-time position, with an attractive salary package commencing at $97,134 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
