Victoria Point, Australia QSSS Full time

Are you a female Support Worker who loves the idea of working with an old fashioned, okker Aussie bloke who loves a bit of banter? If this is you, then read on and see if this is an opportunity for you

This 73 year old gentleman is an outgoing person who is up before the birds requiring personal care supports at 5am so he can make his way to his favourite café for a bite of breakfast and a bit of socialising. Additional support is needed at lunchtime and in the evening for personal care and daily domestic activities.

Shifts are available 7 days a week as follows**:5:00am - 7:00am and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Every second day: 11:30am-3:00pm.**

This Participant self-identifies as a “part quad” who requires personal care, bowel and bladder support, and assistance with hoisting. Due to an acquired brain injury, he may occasionally have mood fluctuations. A bit of humour and patience can usually help redirect him quickly.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Support Worker who is skilled in redirection strategies for escalating behaviours, bowel and bladder care, as well as hoisting experience.
